PSM PERFORMANCE

Home » Performance

At Midwest Premier Juniors, we believe great volleyball players are built both on and off the court. That's why we've partnered with PSM Performance to provide athletes with a comprehensive athletic development program designed to maximize their potential.

Our structured training program focuses on progressive athletic development, beginning with proper movement mechanics and advancing to increased speed, strength, agility, power, and explosiveness. As athletes become faster, stronger, and more efficient movers, they gain a competitive advantage that translates directly to improved performance on the volleyball court.

Beyond performance, PSM Performance emphasizes injury prevention, durability, and endurance. By building stronger, more resilient athletes, our training helps reduce the risk of injury while preparing players to compete at their highest level throughout the club season.

PSM Performance has helped develop dozens of collegiate athletes across multiple sports, providing the expertise and proven training methods needed to prepare athletes for success at the next level.

Together, Midwest Premier Juniors and PSM Performance are committed to developing complete athletes who are stronger, healthier, and better prepared to reach their full potential.

The PSM Performance Training Philosophy

PSM Performance exists to build athletes from the foundation up, guided by our Long Term Athletic Development Pyramid. The pyramid provides a guideline for how we train athletes, beginning with foundational skills and building to top-end performance.

  • Foundational Skill Development – the building blocks of athleticism
  • Capacity Development – the ability to perform and withstand the stress of competition
  • Acute Skill Development – producing force and reducing force (acceleration and deceleration)
  • Energy System Development – sport-specific conditioning and fitness
  • Top-End Skill Development – reaching the peak of your athletic capability
